The magic of New Year is to be found in one of the most romantic places in
St Petersburg. The Astoria and Angleterre hotels invite you into the lap of luxury, to experience their intoxicating blend of festive treats.

Starting the 3rd of December the air will be inflated with odour of mulled wine, Christmas trees and gingerbreads.

Western Christmas

On 24 – 30 of December from noon till 6.30 pm we invite guests to take a seat in the Rotonda Lounge for a very special event. Look out onto the beauty of St Isaac’s Square, across to the Mariinsky Palace, and listen in to the beautiful sounds of our choir performing classical choral works, Russian national songs and Christmas carols. During Afternoon Tea time we will serve flavoured mulled wine.

On the 24th and 25th of December Davidov Restaurant will offer a special Christmas menu: traditional Christmas favourites from head chef Colin Flood as well as free flowing red and white wines to accompany this festive food.

Borsalino Restaurant will welcome guests with a glass of champagne and traditional Italian Christmas menu.

New Year’s Eve

On the 31st of December in the Winter Garden and Ballroom as well as in Davidov Restaurant of the Hotel Astoria there will be the unforgettable “Circus” with a night of dancing, fun, competitions and prizes to be won. Your eyes will be wide-open until morning.

In the Davidov Restaurant the New Year menu is as fabulous as the festivities – an international menu with wonderful wines carefully selected by our sommelier.

In the Winter Garden and Ballroom our guests will find a wonderful choice of starters on table and a buffet with an extravaganza of food – selection of main dishes, desserts galore and free-flowing soft drinks, red and white wine and vodka.

Clown will invite little ones to a specially decorated fair room. Celebration will include New Year’s menu, lots of fun, plays, competitions and surprises.


Venetian Carnival will be the main theme of New Year celebration of the Angleterre Hotel.

Borsalino Restaurant and Caviar Bar of the Angleterre Hotel will offer an Italian menu. Starters on table and choice of main dishes and desserts, Prosecco, free flowing beer, soft drinks and vodka.
