2nd International Ballet Festival, St Petersburg, March 2002
Sir Rocco Forte's five-star Hotel Astoria is pleased to support the 2nd International Ballet Festival at the Mariinsky Theatre in St Petersburg between 9th and 18th March 2002, and has produced comprehensive residential packages for ballet enthusiasts. These are available for five and six nights throughout the duration of the festival and include tickets for the performance each night, a backstage tour of the Mariinsky Theatre and a cocktail reception with Maestro Valery Gergiev and artists at the hotel.
The second festival will include a combination of famous ballets, such as Cinderella, Romeo and Juliet and Le Corsaire, in addition to a new version of The Nutcracker by Simonov and Chemiakin and evenings of ballets by Fokine, Jakobson, Balanchine and Neumeier. The International Stars Gala will close the festival on 18th March.
The Hotel Astoria has been fully refurbished over the past year and has been restored to its rightful position as the best hotel in the city. New additions have included Davidov's restaurant, a new bar and a Fitness Centre. The hotel is also now a member of The Leading Hotels of the World.
