The Astoria SPA

Brown's Hotel in London's Mayfair is joining forces with its sister hotel, Rocco Forte's Hotel de Russie in Rome to create an exciting week of all things Italian from 23 to 28 April inclusive. Laurence Glayzer, Executive Chef at Brown's Hotel and his counterpart at the Hotel de Russie, Nazzareno Menghini will create a superb Italian menu in The Grill featuring a colourful and fragrant selection of classic Italian dishes with a Mediterranean influence.

A two-and three-course menu will be served at lunch-time, priced at £25 and £30 respectively, while a sumptuous dinner menu at £49.50 will be accompanied by a complimentary glass of Prosecco. Chef Nazzareno's recipes, so popular with his Roman clientele in the Jardin de Russie, use only the freshest and simplest of local produce and include such favourites as courgette flowers stuffed with mozzarella and anchovies, served with fried king prawns; medallions of swordfish with lemon confit and Sicilian-style couscous, and sheep's milk ricotta soufflé with candied fruit and 'Grand Cru' chocolate.

In the hotel's vibrant Donovan Bar, award-winning barman Antonio Dandrea will create a selection of delicious cocktails such as the Italian-inspired 'Amore Mio', an irresistible combination of Amarena and Prosecco.

The 122-bedroom Hotel de Russie in Rome's fashionable Via del Babuino, which runs between the Spanish Steps and the Piazza del Popolo, opened in April 2000 after a complete refurbishment. The hotel is famed for its stunning terraced gardens, and recently added a World Wildlife Fund protected Butterfly Oasis and a newly refurbished spa, the De Russie Wellness Zone.
